The Blencathra 9 – All Wainwrights around Mosedale and Saddleback
My Blencathra 9 links nine Wainwrights around Mosedale and Saddleback in one 34km day: Carrock Fell, High Pike, Knott, Great Calva, Mungrisedale Common, Blencathra, Bowscale Fell, Bannerdale Crags and Souther Fell. A storm caught me out on Knott, forcing an emergency pitch under the Trailstar, before a long walk home in the dark to reach the family in Troutbeck.
