Description
The 214 CheckMap
The Wainwrights have a way of taking over a spare moment. You find yourself on the OS map at eleven o’clock at night, or counting off summits on a long drive home. At some point, you need something to make sense of the whole thing — why not have it on the wall?
The 214 CheckMap shows every Wainwright fell plotted across the Lake District on a single large-format framed map. Not a spreadsheet. Not a laminated A4 printout. A proper wall map — drawn to show how the fells cluster across the whole district, so you can plan routes, understand the geography of the round, and colour each summit as you reach it.
Fun ticking off the Wainwrights
Love our map! Had fun ticking off the Wainwrights we have already done and looking forward to many more!
Thank you!
I had the Dorrigo 3D relief map on my wall the whole time I was working through the Wainwrights and I still love it. But it was never designed as a tick map — it doesn’t show all 214, and nothing I could find did what I actually wanted. So I drew one instead. It took rather a long time. The kind of time where a sensible person would have given up. But the map is here, it’s framed, and I think it was worth the wait.
